Michael Arloski, PhD

“Motivating and Supporting
Healthy Lives”

Dr. Arloski’s lifework is to motivate and support people in living healthy lives that are in harmony with themselves, each other and the earth. His dedication to this mission has led him to work with diverse groups such as educators, business people and Native American youth. His broad experience as a human relations trainer makes his stress management and interpersonal conflict programs exceptional.

Psychologist, writer, environmental educator, masterful storyteller and acclaimed nature photographer, Michael integrates these diverse skills imaginatively with warmth and down-to-earth humor to help audiences open up to new ideas.

• MOTIVATION: The Core of Wellness

Wellness keeps coming back to the question: “How do we get people to do what they know they need to do for themselves?” Reaching his audience on both the personal and professional level, Michael combines a compassionate look at people’s real life struggles with the wisdom of the behavioral and medical sciences. Dr. Arloski cuts across all dimensions of wellness to offer essential components of motivation, the real “bottom line” in any health promotion effort.

• STRESS THRIVERS:
How to Thrive Not Just Survive Stressful Change

When organizations go through major change, stress takes a serious toll on employee health. Yet in that same situation some employees “thrive.” In this fascinating presentation, Michael shares valuable lessons about attitude and lifestyle from research done with major corporations and his own rich clinical and training experience.

• DANCING WITH CONFLICT:
A Centered Approach to Dealing with the Difficult People in Your Life

How do we “stay on our feet” when conflict is coming at us? In this lively program, Dr. Arloski shows us how to dance with interpersonal conflict, rather than be trampled by it. Illustrating his talk with humorous examples we can all relate to, Michael uses the martial arts as metaphor and teaches audiences practical strategies to deal confidently and safely with conflict, and create “win/win” outcomes.
