John Alston, MS

“This gentleman combines the humor of Bill Cosby
with the teaching wisdom of Socrates...”

John Alston offers character, common sense and a healthy perspective on managing work and personal life. A former classroom teacher, college instructor, and director of the American Institute of Stress Management, and currently a multicultural consultant, and author of Story Power and Stuff Happens (And Then You Fix It!), John is a compelling speaker who motivates and challenges his audiences. John has appeared on "The Oprah Winfrey Show," and delivered keynote addresses for organizations such as General Electric, Wells Fargo, General Motors, U.S. Steel, AT&T, the United States Army, and many others. John has developed successful strategies for unlocking potential and excellence in the workplace—and he can do that for your organization.

MAKING AMERICA WORK

Our lives have become extremely complex. Consequently, it is easier to make excuses for our condition in the face of contemporary demands. John Alston brings a unique and relevant approach to the monumental task of eliminating excuses and making America work.

John holds that the heart and soul of achievement for any group resides in common ideals and clearly stated goals. In America, this can only occur when we value the strengths found in America’s increasingly diverse population – out of which we become one nation. Global and economic challenges are escalating. People of diverse backgrounds and experiences are entering our communities and the workforce – and the difference in values raises basic questions regarding work, quality, service, character, common sense and decency. John believes that achieving unity in shared values and purpose is essential to the success of this nation, and to the success of any organization, group or interpersonal relationship.

TUNE UP FROM THE NECK UP

This is a presentation about common sense and personal resilience. John provides facts, skills, techniques and new ways of thinking for managing yourself and others more effectively. Lower your level of frustration by changing the way you see, think and interact in all situations.

Remember, a healthy mind supports a healthy body!

THE CHALLENGE OF VIOLENCE:
