The “High” Road to Wellness

• HUMOR AND LAUGHTER: THE HIGH ROAD TO WELLNESS

This program will look at humor and why it is important to our personal and professional wellbeing. The program will explain how we access the humor and laughter response, understanding different types of appropriate humor, as well as how and when to use them. A recipe and prescription to avoid burnout will be provided. The program is both informative and experiential, guaranteed to have people laughing and learning at the same time. Your “sense of humor” is one of the top five coping mechanisms for “healthy” people. Can be targeted to “Humor in the Workplace.”

• NATURAL HIGHS: GETTING HIGH ON LIFE IS A SKILL

Natural Highs is a program that explores the biochemistry behind what makes people feel good. What are “Highs” and how we get them will be discussed. A comparison between “natural highs” vs. “drug highs” will be reviewed and an experiential part of the presentation will actually change the brain chemistry of the participants through the use of humor and energy exchange techniques. This program gives a positive prevention message which helps validate and support those people on the “high” road to wellness.

• TEAM BUILDING AND GROUP DYNAMICS

All of us need to learn to work together collaboratively. This skill building program can incorporate any number of “team building” exercises to meet your specific needs. Improving communication skills, understanding team roles, learning about yourself in relationship to the “group,” maximizing group strengths, increasing group cohesion, are all areas that can be developed in this dynamic and fun workshop. Anyone willing to experiment with some new tools to enhance personal effectiveness should take the risk and join us.
