Elaine M. Sullivan, M.Ed.

Pathways to Health and Wellness:
Mind-Body-Spirit Connection

• WOMEN: FINDING THEIR VOICES

Through twenty years of working with written biographies, Elaine Sullivan has learned the power of remembering, telling and recreating life stories. Participants will explore personal journeys in terms of cultures, myths, wounds, gifts and creative possibilities. Personal stories will be enhanced by seeing parallels with the great mythical stories. Participants will be actively involved in the process of learning ways that men and women can honor each others' strengths.

• BUILDING QUALITY RELATIONSHIPS

Relationships present profound opportunities for personal and professional growth. Emerging research in wellness underscores the importance of social well-being and health. With the changing roles and expectations of men and women, the work of building healthy relationships takes commitment and care. Inner work and a willingness to change and grow is the challenge. In this session, participants actively engage in learning about their relationship dynamics both personally and professionally. Elaine addresses communication skills, conflict management, recognition patterns, emotional health, inner child healing and care of the spirit.

• WELLNESS: THE INTEGRATION OF MIND-BODY-SPIRIT

Research on the integration of mind-body-spirit is steadily increasing. Organizations are finding workers are more productive in an age of shrinking costs. Health practitioners are challenged to seek ways of integrating the emotional, spiritual and social aspects of wellness into their programming. Environments, which are conducive to the growth and development of a person, place emphasis on inner work, inner growth and inner healing. Inner work challenges individuals to become aware of their deep internal belief systems about the physical, emotional, intellectual, spiritual and social aspects of themselves and to commit themselves to growth and development.
