CAROL ABAYA, MA Carol Abaya is a nationally syndicated newspaper columnist and a recognized expert on the sandwich generation—aging and elder/parent care issues. GEORGE E. VAILLANT, MD Author of Aging Well: Surprising Guideposts to a Happier Life from the Landmark Harvard Study of Adult Development and The Wisdom of the Ego: Sources of Resilience in Adult Life. Dr. Vaillant is a Professor of Psychiatry at Harvard Medical School and Director of Research for the Division of Psychiatry, Brigham and Women's Hospital.
