High Adventure Trips

To participate in High Adventure trips, scouts need to have learned and mastered basic camping skills. Some trips to national camps are restricted to age 14 and over. Boys must be accomplished swimmers if the trip is on water.

1996 FLORIDA- Sailing, fishing, snorkeling, exploring the Keys
1997 ONTARIO – Canoeing in Canadian wilderness north of Quetico Park
1998 MINNESOTA – Canoeing in the Boundary Waters Canoe Area (BWCA)
1999 MICHIGAN – Camping and backpacking in the Porcupine Mountains
2000 SOUTH DAKOTA – Camping and backpacking in the Badlands and Black Hills
2000 TEXAS - Sailing, snorkeling, fishing, kayaking in the Gulf of Mexico
2001 WYOMING – Rafting hiking, biking in the Grand Tetons
2001 VIRGINIA – National Jamboree – a gathering of over 40, 000 scouts from the nation
2002 NEW MEXICO – Horseback riding – 8 days on mountain trails
2003 SOUTH DAKOTA –Exploring the Black Hills, Badlands and Custer State Park
2003 NORTH CAROLINA- Back packing in the Blue Ridge Mountains
2004 MONTANA - Reliving the Lewis and Clark Expedition: Canoeing, Mountain hiking and backpacking, horseback riding
2005 MINNESOTA – Sailing the Apostle Islands, Canoeing in the Boundary Waters
2005 VIRGINA - National Jamboree – a gathering of over 40,000 scouts from the nation
