June-July 2006 High Adventure Trip
White Mountains of New Hampshire

Mount Washington, at 6288 feet, is the highest peak east of the Mississippi
and north of North Carolina. "It is famous for its dangerously erratic weather,
and holds the record for the highest wind gust directly measured at the
Earth's surface, at 231 mph." (April 12, 1934)
